Design-Dependent Switching Mechanisms of Schottky-Barrier-Modulated Memristors based on 2D Semiconductor

Hangbo Zhou et al.

Summary: This study focuses on Schottky barrier-modulated memristors based on 2D semiconductors. Four distinct types of memristors are identified based on their resistance sequences and characteristics. The behavior of each type of memristor can be explained by the modulation of Schottky barrier height and the effects of defect concentration, charge polarity, and mobility. The study also provides design guidelines for fabricating each type of memristor.

A Novel Approach in Edge Computing: In-Memory Sensing of Cancer Markers

David Heim et al.

Summary: This paper presents the first ever-reported direct computation of cancer risk on cancer markers simultaneously detected by memristors. It proposes a new approach in cancer diagnostics called in-memory sensing, which combines sensing, computing, and memory functions in a single device. The concept is demonstrated by estimating the risk of prostate cancer based on the simultaneous measure of PSA and PSMA.
