Optical Modeling of Plasmonic Nanoparticles with Electronically Depleted Layers

Nicolo Petrini et al.

Summary: This study systematically investigates the influence of simulation parameters on the optical modeling of absorption spectra, highlighting the importance of minimizing fit parameters with experimental results and interparameter relationships. It demonstrates that accurately describing the continuous spectra evolution relies on the presence of a depletion layer. The proposed multilayer model shows great potential in designing optoelectronic properties of core-shell systems.
