Summary: This article explores interpolation as a tool for anti-Islamic polemic in Bernhard von Breidenbach's Peregrinatio in terram sanctam, focusing on the (dis)continuities of polemical discourse on Islam. Comparative case studies reveal two complementary interpolative approaches that contribute towards expanding the Latin canon of established tropes and arguments in vernacular pilgrimage writing.
