(Extra)ordinary Sensation and Visionary Perception in Dante's Purgatorio XV and XVII

Finally, I analyse how Dante uses multisensory language in individual visions so as to reflect on the complexity of perceptual layers in visionary experiences and to appeal to readers who think with, and through, their senses.
