Life Writing During a Pandemic: Making Sense of the New Normal in Lockdown Extended: Corona Chronicles (2020)

Summary: This article focuses on the emerging Covid-19 life narratives written by South African authors, who share their experiences and reflections on the pandemic. Through a close analysis of personal narratives, the article explores how the authors reconstruct the first lockdown in South Africa and envision their future. The narrators' vulnerability reflects the intense mood of the lockdown and highlights the renewed interest in life writing.
