Reconstruction Design of Existing Residential Buildings Based on 3D Simulation Method

Wang Bo et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a reconstruction method for existing residential buildings based on 3D simulation, which analyzes the energy consumption and fuzzy characteristics of thermal performance testing in existing buildings. By using the fuzzy equilibrium scheduling method, the thermal insulation performance of the buildings is optimized. The experimental results show that the 3D simulation technique can reconstruct building models with high information integrity and improve the insulation performance of the building walls.

The influence of curvature and proportion on emotional preference for human-machine interface design

Li Deng

Summary: This study explored the relationship between curvature and proportion of human-machine interface and emotional preference using Kansei Engineering. The results showed that curvature was positively correlated with emotions such as safe, lively, feminine, warm, and soft, while negatively correlated with emotions such as dangerous, rigorous, masculine, cold, and hard. Proportion affected emotions such as safe-dangerous, rigorous-lively, masculine-feminine, and cold-warm, but not soft-hard.

Pedestrian flow characteristics through different angled bends: Exploring the spatial variation of velocity

Jamal Hannun et al.

Summary: This study explores the spatial variation of speeds when a group of people navigates through bends using trajectory data. The results show that speeds are significantly different within the bend, with lower speeds near the inner corner compared to the outer corner. These findings highlight the importance of understanding congestion and bottleneck effects in complex geometrical settings and calibrating microscopic simulation tools.

Research on the Aging-Friendly Kitchen Based on Space Syntax Theory

Ying Wang et al.

Summary: This study investigated the relationship between the spatial layout of home kitchens and the efficiency of daily activities for older adults, and examined the moderating role of cognitive function. The results showed a significant association between the kitchen space layout and activity efficiency for homebound older adults. Additionally, the study found that cognitive ability had a positive moderating effect on the association between moderate and difficult tasks, and this effect was stronger for challenging tasks.

The effect of classroom wall color on learning performance: A virtual reality experiment

Chao Liu et al.

Summary: The wall color has a certain impact on the learning performance of college students. Cold-colored walls like blue and green can improve students' relaxation and pleasure levels, while warm-colored walls like yellow and red can enhance attention and learning performance. White-walled classrooms have the lowest subjective evaluation and worst learning performance, but they are still widely used.
