Under the sun: adaptation effects to changes in facial complexion

Sandra Utz et al.

Face Adaptation Effects on Non-Configural Face Information

Ronja Mueller et al.

Summary: Inspecting new visual information in a face can influence the perception of subsequently seen faces, resulting in face adaptation effects. While previous studies focused on investigating configurations of facial features, less attention was paid to non-configural face information such as color. The results suggest that brightness information plays a significant role in face processing and retention.
