Effect of microstructure and texture on the evolution of mechanical properties in a cold rolled and annealed UNS S32101 lean duplex stainless steel sheet

Summary: The effect of microstructure and texture on the evolution of mechanical properties during recrystallization in cold rolled UNS S32101 lean duplex stainless steel sheet was investigated. The results showed that the microstructure changed from lamellar to near globular as the annealing time increased. The crystallographic texture weakened after recrystallization, leading to a decrease in hardness and stored energy.

Improved Mechanical Property and Corrosion Resistance of SAF2507 Duplex Stainless Steel with Heterogeneous Lamella Structure

Summary: The severe cold rolling and subsequent annealing on ferrite and austenite duplex stainless steel result in the formation of heterogeneous lamella structure with high strength and good ductility, as well as superior corrosion resistance attributed to a stable passive layer. However, precipitation of the sigma phase after long-term annealing deteriorates corrosion performance and mechanical properties.

Summary: The effect of strain-induced martensitic transformation and its reversion on the microstructure evolution and localized corrosion of 2304 lean duplex stainless steel was investigated. The results showed that the reversed austenitic and recrystallized grains had a beneficial effect on desensitization and corrosion resistance.

Multistep Cross Rolling of UNS S32101 Steel: Microstructure, Texture, and Magnetic Properties

Summary: The effect of multistep cross rolling on UNS S32101 steel microstructure, texture, and magnetic properties was investigated in this study. It was found that cold-rolling reduction led to changes in microstructure and magnetic properties, as well as the formation of strain-induced martensite. Analysis of hysteresis loops and microstructures allowed for a better understanding of the impact of cold-rolling reduction on the properties of UNS S32101 steel.

Characterization of Microstructure and Microtexture in a Cold-Rolled and Intercritically Annealed Dual-Phase Steel

Summary: The microstructure and microtexture of a dual-phase (DP) steel were investigated using the electron backscattered diffraction (EBSD) technique. It was found that cold-rolling and intercritical annealing significantly affected the texture in DP600 steel, with notable differences in misorientation and dislocation density between different regions of the microstructure.

Effect of aging treatment on microstructure, mechanical and corrosion properties of 7055 aluminum alloy prepared using powder by-product

Summary: The study shows that after aging treatment, the 7055 aluminum alloy still maintains a typical equiaxed crystal structure, but with a reduced number of precipitated phases in a more uniform and fine distribution. The strength of the aging treated sample is nearly doubled compared to that of the as-sintered alloy, primarily due to precipitation strengthening. In terms of corrosion resistance, the aging-treated samples exhibit a sequence of DA > RRA > T6.
