Regeneration of pulp-dentin complex using human stem cells of the apical papilla: in vivo interaction with two bioactive materials

Diana B. Sequeira et al.

Summary: The findings of this study demonstrate that SCAPs combined with PRP scaffold can induce the formation of dentin-like and pulp-like tissues in root segments. The presence of barriers such as ProRoot MTA or Biodentine did not significantly affect the deposition of hard material in the root segments, but the area of newly deposited dentin was significantly greater in segments with a Biodentine barrier compared to a ProRoot MTA barrier.

Inflammatory Response Mechanisms of the Dentine-Pulp Complex and the Periapical Tissues

Kerstin M. Galler et al.

Summary: The anatomy of the oral cavity is complex, with different tissues interacting closely. Teeth are vulnerable to damage, particularly from caries, but the dental pulp has multiple defense mechanisms to protect against pathogens.

DSPP dosage affects tooth development and dentin mineralization

Dandrich Lim et al.

Summary: Dentin Sialoprotein (DSP) and phosphophoryn (PP) are two major non-collagenous proteins in dentin that play essential roles in dentin formation. Using transgenic technology, the DSPP gene knockout defect in mice can be partially or completely rescued, indicating the importance of DSPP in tooth development.

Regenerative Endodontic Therapy in the Management of Nonvital Immature Permanent teeth: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

Izaz Shaik et al.

Summary: This study critically evaluates the reliability of evidence in current regenerative endodontic publications, and summarizes clinical and radiographic findings associated with nonvital immature permanent teeth treated with regenerative techniques. While good success rates were observed in terms of survival and pathology resolution, there is still considerable variability in apex closure and root development outcomes, highlighting gaps in understanding key factors for successful regenerative endodontic treatment.

THE ROLE OF INFLAMMATION MODULATION IN DENTAL PULP REGENERATION

S. H. Zaky et al.

Summary: A healthy dental pulp is essential for tooth function, and its regeneration is a key research goal. This review explores the role of macrophage population shift in different pulpitis conditions and highlights the contribution of pulp innervation and neuropeptides to the regeneration process.
