Travel for Affection: A Stimulus-Organism-Response Model of Honeymoon Tourism Experiences

Ganghua Chen et al.

Summary: This study utilized the stimuli-organism-response theory to examine the empirical linkages between honeymoon tourism experience and perceived destination attributes, memorable tourism experiences, emotions, overall satisfaction, and behavioral intentions. The results showed that PDAs drive honeymooners' emotions and MTEs, which in turn influence their overall satisfaction and behavioral intentions. Mediation analysis clarified the significant roles of emotions, MTEs, and overall satisfaction as mediators in the honeymoon tourism experience.

Connections among Puget Sound Residents' Psychological Restoration from Natural Environments, Place Attachment, and Beliefs about Environmental Governance

Whitney Fleming et al.

Summary: The study shows that psychological restoration and place attachment may influence beliefs about environmental governance, with place attachment acting as a mediator. Individuals who frequently experience psychological restoration in natural environments tend to have stronger place attachment and more positive beliefs about environmental governance. These findings suggest that promoting psychological restoration and place attachment may not be effective in increasing positive beliefs about environmental governance without considering the process factors associated with good governance.

The missing intangibles: nature's contributions to human wellbeing through place attachment and social capital

Yuki Yoshida et al.

Summary: Communities in socio-ecological production landscapes and seascapes are aging and depopulating. The undervaluation of these areas is suspected to be due to the omission of non-material nature's contributions to people (NCPs) in existing economic frameworks. This study found that nature enhances subjective wellbeing by enhancing place attachment and social relationships, and ecocentrism contributes to greater values of perceived nature.

From ownership to responsibility: extending the theory of planned behavior to predict tourist environmentally responsible behavioral intentions

Hongliang Qiu et al.

Summary: This research examines the influence of destination psychological ownership on tourist environmentally responsible behavioral intentions. The results show that destination psychological ownership does not have a direct effect on these intentions, but perceived environmental responsibility and place attachment mediate the relationship. Place attachment is the most critical mediating variable. It was also found that Gen Z tourists have lower levels of environmentally responsible behavioral intentions, and subjective norms have a stronger effect on these intentions for Gen Z than for other generations.
