Game changer or threat: The impact of 3D printing on the logistics supplier circular supply chain

The findings show that lower 3DP costs do not always benefit the logistics supplier, but it opens up a new revenue stream for them. The manufacturer can financially benefit from 3DP adoption only when the production costs are relatively high, and the logistics supplier can use it as a game-changer to become a new green manufacturer, posing a strategic threat to traditional manufacturers. Customers can also enjoy more surplus when logistics suppliers adopt low-cost 3DP.
