Spatial path and determinants of carbon transfer in the process of inter industrial transfer in China

Meng Li et al.

Summary: This study investigates the evolution trend and influencing factors of carbon transfer in China using the MRIO model and MGWR model. The results indicate that industrial transfer is the key factor causing carbon transfer, environmental regulation and urbanization have a negative impact on carbon transfer, while industrial structure and energy intensity have a positive impact.

Rethinking on regional CO2 allocation in China: A consideration of the carbon sink

Mian Yang et al.

Summary: This study analyzes the characteristics of China's net CO2 emissions in 2015 and proposes net CO2 allocation schemes for 2020 and 2030 by combining carbon sinks estimated by remote sensing technology with carbon sources identified from multiple dimensions. The results show that considering carbon sinks in the allocation scheme leads to better outcomes, reducing the dispersion of inter-provincial carbon quotas and balancing regional development.

How to effectively guide carbon reduction behavior of building owners under emission trading scheme? An evolutionary game-based study

Xiangnan Song et al.

Summary: This study explores how governments can effectively guide the carbon mitigation actions of building owners under an emission trading scheme by continually adjusting and optimizing their regulation strategies. Through an extended evolutionary game model and system dynamics analysis, it is found that intervention measures like penalties, subsidies, and public scrutiny are more efficient and important for the government than increasing monitoring levels and non-financial incentives to reduce carbon emissions in the building sector.

Evaluation of China's carbon emission trading policy from corporate innovation

Miaochen Lv et al.

Summary: The study indicates that both high carbon trading prices and price volatility can promote corporate innovation, leading to emissions reduction. Therefore, the carbon emission trading policy is effective in promoting corporate carbon-reduction innovation, supporting the expansion of carbon emission trading to the national market.

Dynamic measurement of news-driven information friction in China's carbon market: Theory and evidence

Heng-Guo Zhang et al.

Summary: This paper measures news-driven information friction in China's carbon market, finding that enterprises with different attributes face varying levels of information friction. Higher policy information friction leads to weaker impacts of effective information shocks and greater reductions in policy effects.

Economic and environmental impacts of photovoltaic power with the declining subsidy rate in China

Zanxin Wang et al.

Summary: Photovoltaic power is expected to have a significant role in reducing global warming and enhancing energy security, with China promoting its development through feed-in tariff policies. However, substituting coal-fired electricity with PV power may have negative economic and environmental impacts as subsidy rates decline. Despite potential economic growth from this substitution when PV power generation is subsidized, the impact on GDP will eventually become negative as subsidy rates decrease. It is necessary to implement policies to internalize external values and address the economic impacts of this substitution.
