Review: Meta-analysis on mindfulness-based interventions for adolescents' stress, depression, and anxiety in school settings: a cautionary tale

Nilija Fulambarkar et al.

Summary: This meta-analysis examined the efficacy of mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs) in school settings for adolescents with symptoms of stress, depression, and anxiety. Do mindfulness-based programmes improve the cognitive skills, behaviour and mental health of children and adolescents? An updated meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials

Darren Dunning et al.

Summary: Mindfulness-based programmes (MBPs) are increasingly popular for improving mental health in young people, but the evidence is of low quality and inconclusive. MBPs are more effective than passive controls in improving anxiety/stress, attention, executive functioning, and negative and social behavior. Compared to active controls, MBPs are more effective in reducing anxiety/stress and improving mindfulness.

Teresa Limpo et al.

Summary: This study examined the factorial structure, reliability, and predictive validity of the Portuguese version of the Child and Adolescence Mindful Measure (CAMM).
