CSR crises from the consumers' perspective: a multidimensional typology and future research agenda

Guido Grunwald

Summary: The purpose of this paper is to develop a multidimensional corporate social responsibility (CSR) crisis typology from the consumers' perspective and provide an agenda for future research. The study derives basic content-related dimensions for characterizing CSR crises from a review of relevant crisis typologies and identifies different types of consumer responses to negative CSR information based on various theoretical approaches. By reviewing dynamic process models of corporate crises, the study assigns different forms of consumer responses to different crisis phases to create a comprehensive consumer-oriented typology of CSR crises. The findings reveal eight different crisis types based on three consumer-related dimensions, and provide insights into consumer responses in potential, latent, and manifest crisis phases.

Designing a sustainable closed-loop supply chain network of face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic: Pareto-based algorithms

Erfan Babaee Tirkolaee et al.

Summary: This study develops a mathematical model to design a sustainable mask Closed-Loop Supply Chain Network (CLSCN) during the COVID-19 outbreak. A multi-objective Mixed-Integer Linear Programming (MILP) model is proposed to address various decisions within a multi-period multi-echelon multi-product supply chain. Sustainable development is considered by minimizing the total cost, total pollution, and total human risk. Two algorithms, MOGWO and NSGA-II, are used to solve the model and find Pareto optimal solutions. The results show that MOGWO performs better in terms of dispersion and solution quality. A real case study and sensitivity analyses are conducted to validate the model. Practical implications and managerial insights are discussed.

TIMEAWAREBPMN-JS: An editor and temporal verification tool for Time-Aware BPMN processes

Mario Ocampo-Pineda et al.

Summary: TIMEWAREBPMN-JS is a graphical web-based editor for creating and editing time-aware BPMN models. It allows users to add and edit BPMN processes with temporal constraints and verifies these constraints against temporal properties using plug-ins. The modular architecture makes it easy to add and use different plug-ins for verification.

Evaluating the safety and patient impacts of an artificial intelligence command centre in acute hospital care: a mixed-methods protocol

Ciaran McInerney et al.

Summary: This paper presents a study protocol for evaluating the implementation of a real-time, centralized hospital command center in the UK. The command center is a complex intervention that could improve operational decision-making and mitigate threats to patient safety. The study aims to address the limited research on the impact of complex health information technology on patient safety, reliability, and operational efficiency in healthcare delivery.
