I don't believe I'm going to recover from anything. Understanding recovery amongst people with severe mental illness attending community health services in Spain

Javier Saavedra et al.

Summary: The study found that individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness have different understandings of recovery, which can be categorized into Socio-Behavioral, Biomedical, Resistance, and Wellbeing-Growth. The most common categories were Socio-Behavioral and Biomedical, with limited assimilation of the personal recovery concept. The relational nature of the common categories challenges the individualistic core of the classic definition of personal recovery.
