Impact of team knowledge management, problem solving competence, interpersonal conflicts, organizational trust on project performance, a mediating role of psychological capital

Summary: This study investigates the factors affecting the performance of the Phuket sandbox project in Thailand, using a quantitative approach and structured questionnaires. The results show that team knowledge management, interpersonal conflict, organizational trust, and psychological capital significantly influence project performance. However, problem-solving competence has no significant relationship with project performance, and neither problem-solving competence nor organizational trust has a significant relationship with psychological capital.

Exploring Explanatory Mechanisms of Adjustment-Specific Resources Underlying the Relationship between Leader-Member Exchange and Work Engagement: A Lens of Conservation of Resources Theory

Summary: The sustainable competitiveness of an organization depends on its ability to develop and maintain high levels of work engagement amongst its employees. This study proposes an integrative model of work engagement pathway to organizational socialization based on COR theory. The findings suggest that leader-member exchange (LMX) influences the creation or limitation of adjustment-specific resources, which in turn affect work engagement. These findings have important implications for theory, research, and practice in understanding the relationship between work engagement and organizational socialization.

Summary: Employees are important assets in service businesses, but the human side of crisis management, especially in human resource management, is often overlooked. This study explores how human resource management practices before a crisis can build psychological capital for tourism and hospitality staff during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research shows that wellbeing-oriented HRM policies can increase employee PsyCap during the pandemic and protect their wellbeing. The financial burden on employees' families is found to be a moderating factor, affecting the impact of HRM policies on employee PsyCap and wellbeing during the crisis.

Effect of empowering leadership on work engagement via psychological empowerment: Moderation of cultural orientation

Summary: Employee empowerment can lead to work engagement, but this may vary based on employees' cultural values and beliefs. This study focused on the effectiveness of employee empowerment in Chinese organisations. Results showed that empowering leadership positively influenced work engagement and psychological empowerment. Psychological empowerment partially mediated the relationship between empowering leadership and work engagement. Cultural orientation, specifically power distance orientation, moderated the effect of empowering leadership on psychological empowerment. The findings have theoretical and practical implications.

When and why employees resort to remain silent at work? A moderated mediation model of social undermining

Summary: This study explores the interaction effect of leader-member exchange (LMX) on the relationship between social undermining and employee silence, considering the mediating role of emotional exhaustion. The findings support the positive relationship between social undermining and emotional exhaustion. Additionally, emotional exhaustion partially mediates the associations between different forms of social undermining and employee silence. The study also confirms the interaction effect of LMX, indicating that the harmful impact of social undermining is more severe in high-quality LMX relationships.

The study includes 264 supervisors and employees in the high-tech industry. The results show statistically significant positive effects of pre-service education on employees' organizational identification and self-efficacy. The relationship between employees' organizational identification and self-efficacy promotion is also significantly positive.

Influence of relational learning and job autonomy in associations between social capital resources and newcomer adjustment: a moderated mediation study
