Graphene doping to enhance the mechanical energy conversion performances of GR/KNN/P(VDF-TrFE) flexible piezoelectric sensors

Xiaofang Zhang et al.

Summary: Flexible piezoelectric composites provide a new research idea for developing flexible piezoelectric sensors (FPSs) with high piezoelectric output performance. By doping potassium sodium niobate (KNN) ceramic powder and graphene (GR) nanosheets into a P(VDF-TrFE) matrix, FPSs based on GR/KNN/P(VDF-TrFE) three-phase composites are fabricated, exhibiting good electrical and piezoelectric properties. The GR/KNN/P(VDF-TrFE)-based FPS shows high piezoelectric output voltages under various test scenarios and retains its performance even after extended vibration cycles.

Massive enhancement in power output of BoPET-paper triboelectric nanogenerator using 2D-hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets

Ainikulangara Sundaran Bhavya et al.

Summary: In the era of IoT and sensor networks, the demand for clean and sustainable power sources is high. Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) using liquid-phase exfoliated 2D-hexagonal boron nitride nanosheets (BNNSs) coated on biaxially-oriented polyethylene terephthalate (BoPET) and paper showed significantly enhanced power output compared to traditional assemblies. The BNNSs/BoPET-paper TENG device demonstrated impressive electrical performance, including high output voltage and current density, as well as a peak electric power density under load testing.
