Time from Pain Assessment to Pain Intervention

Nurses spent 11% of shifts on pain care activities, managing pain most efficiently by giving PRN analgesics on a scheduled basis. Nurse leaders can empower prompt responses through delegation, process improvements, real-time monitoring, and prescriber engagement.
