Telerehabilitation in the Transitional Care of Patients with Sequelae Associated with COVID-19: Perception of Portuguese Nurses

Summary: This study aims to identify the aspects/components to be considered in the planning and implementation of telerehabilitation interventions for people with long COVID-19, as well as to identify the positive aspects of telerehabilitation. A focus group with specialized nurses in rehabilitation nursing was conducted and the findings were analyzed through content analysis. Four categories were identified: coordination between care levels, transitional care telerehabilitation intervention, advantages of telerehabilitation, and opportunities. The findings contribute to the reorganization of transitional care for people with long COVID-19.

Analysis of data from over 4,000 COVID-19 cases revealed that long COVID is more common in older individuals, those with higher body mass index, and females. A simple model showed promise in distinguishing between short and long COVID cases early in the disease.

Effectiveness of Telerehabilitation in Physical Therapy: A Rapid Overview
