Exploring the experimental study and density functional theory calculations of symmetric and asymmetric chalcogen atoms interacted molybdenum dichalcogenides for lithium-ion batteries

Dhanasekaran Vikraman et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a facile synthesis method for producing two-dimensional asymmetric chalcogen atoms attached to Janus nanoparticles. The fabricated materials show outstanding performance as anodes for lithium-ion batteries, with high reversible capacity and rate capability. Density functional theory approximations also confirm the significance of the interaction between asymmetric chalcogen atoms and anode materials for the battery performance.

Characteristics of Mo2C-CNTs hybrid blended hole transport layer in the perovskite solar cells and X-ray detectors

Sajjad Hussain et al.

Summary: Transition metal carbide (Mo2C) and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were used to modify the hole transport layers (HTLs) in perovskite solar cells (PSCs) and photodetectors, resulting in improved efficiency. The Mo2C-CNT@PEDOT:PSS HTL significantly enhanced the power conversion efficiency of PSCs and achieved a maximum sensitivity of 3.56 mA/Gy.cm(2) in X-ray photodetectors. The study demonstrates the potential of MXene-CNT nanocomposites in enhancing the efficacy of solar cells and photodetectors.
