Thermal efficiency of radiated tetra-hybrid nanofluid [(Al2O3-CuO-TiO2-Ag)/water]tetra under permeability effects over vertically aligned cylinder subject to magnetic field and combined convection

Adnan et al.

Summary: A heat transfer model for a tetra-composite nanofluid (Al2O3-CuO-TiO2-Ag/water) on a vertically oriented cylinder was developed in this study, and a new heat transfer model was successfully obtained through mathematical operations. The study found that the thermal mechanism of the tetra nanofluid is more dominant, and nonlinear thermal radiations increased the heat transfer rate.

Analysis of the forced convection via the turbulence transport of the hybrid mixture in three-dimensional L-shaped channel

Nevzat Akkurt et al.

Summary: In this study, the turbulent transport of a hybrid nanofluid through a three-dimensional L-shaped channel was observed to analyze the characteristic of heat generation via forced convection. It was found that the average Nusselt number at the mid of the channel increased with increasing volume fractions of aluminum oxide and copper, with copper exhibiting a greater rate of increase. The study also suggested maintaining a high Reynolds number to maximize the benefits of the hybrid mixture's transport.

Novel magneto-radiative thermal featuring in SWCNT-MWCNT/C2H6O2-H2O under hydrogen bonding

Khalid Abdulkhaliq M. Alharbi et al.

Summary: Hybrid nanofluids with improved thermal conductivity have potential applications in various fields. This research focuses on analyzing the effects of thermal radiations and magnetic field on SWCNTs-MWCNTs/C2H6O2-H2O nanoliquid. Mathematical treatment and graphical analysis of the model reveal that increasing the magnetic field and density of SWCNTs-MWCNTs result in optimal decrease in fluid motion. The study also shows that the hybrid nanoliquid can store higher thermal energy compared to common mono-nanoliquid, making it suitable for future industrial applications.

A case study of heat transmission in a Williamson fluid flow through a ciliated porous channel: A semi-numerical approach

Usman et al.

Summary: The aim of this study is to investigate the heat transmission in ciliated channels of Williamson fluid under a magnetic field and porous medium, in order to understand the rheological characteristics of non-Newtonian fluids and improve heat transfer rates. A mathematical model was developed for the problem and solved using the Differential Transform Method (DTM). The effects of various parameters on the boundary layer distribution were analyzed through mathematical and graphical representations. The study found that conduction process enhances heat transfer through the molecules of the liquid, and increasing the number of pores increases the magnitude of the velocity profile. The findings of this study have significant applications in bioengineering, medical sciences, and medical equipment for the clearance of viscoelastic fluid from dust and viruses.

Role of Newtonian heating on a Maxwell fluid via special functions: memory impact of local and nonlocal kernels

Nazish Iftikhar et al.

Summary: This study investigates the impact of Newtonian heating on a time-dependent fractional magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) Maxwell fluid over an unbounded upright plate. Equations for heat, mass, and momentum are established using Caputo (C), Caputo-Fabrizio (CF), and Atangana-Baleanu (ABC) fractional derivatives, and solutions are evaluated using Laplace transforms. Changes in the momentum profile due to parameter variability are graphically illustrated for all three C, CF, and ABC models, with the ABC model efficiently revealing a memory effect.

Stagnation Point Flow of EMHD Micropolar Nanofluid with Mixed Convection and Slip Boundary

Shahzada Muhammad Atif et al.

Summary: This numerical research investigates the stagnation point flow of electrical magnetohydrodynamic micropolar nanofluid with slip conditions past a stretching sheet, considering factors like linear thermal radiation, Ohmic and internal heating. The modelled PDEs are transformed into ODEs via similarity transformation and solved using the shooting technique, revealing the impact of various parameters on axial and angular velocities, as well as energy and concentration fields. The analysis shows that heat transfer rate decreases with increasing thermal slip and diffusion slip parameters, and energy and concentration distribution decrease with mass free convection, stagnation, and thermal free convection parameters.
