Cross-Sectional Associations of Lifestyle Behaviors with Depressive Symptoms in Adolescents

Summary: This study examined the associations between lifestyle behaviors and depressive symptoms in adolescents using data from the 2019 Youth Risk Behavior Survey. Participating in no sports teams, spending more than 2 hours on video or computer games, sleeping less than 8 hours, not eating breakfast, alcohol use, and cigarette use were found to be associated with higher odds of depressive symptoms. Interventions aiming to reduce depressive symptoms in adolescents can focus on promoting team sports activity, limiting screen time, ensuring sufficient sleep, regular breakfast consumption, and discouraging substance use.

Knowledge, attitude, and practice of health professionals for oxygen therapy working in South Gondar zone hospitals, 2021: multicenter cross-sectional study

Summary: This study aimed to assess the knowledge, attitude, and practice of health professionals towards oxygen therapy. The findings showed that most participants had a good level of knowledge, positive attitude, and good level of practice. Factors such as training, work experience, and availability of guidelines were significantly associated with knowledge level, while work experience and maintenance and supply of oxygen therapy devices were associated with practice level. Work experience and training were positively associated with attitude level, while low level of knowledge contributed to negative attitude.

Pharmacists? knowledge and attitudes toward medication therapy management service and the associated challenges and barriers for its implementation

Summary: This study evaluated the knowledge, attitude, and practice of MTM services among community pharmacists in Jordan and explored the challenges and barriers for its implementation. The results showed that the pharmacists had moderate knowledge and positive attitude towards MTM services. The most frequently provided MTM service was assessing the patient's health status, and the most recognized challenge was collecting patient-related information.

Pharmacist Intention to Provide Medication Therapy Management Services in Saudi Arabia: A Study Using the Theory of Planned Behaviour

Summary: This study aimed to predict pharmacists' willingness to provide MTM services in Saudi Arabia. The results showed that pharmacists had a positive attitude towards MTM services and a strong intention to provide them. They also perceived social pressure and control over providing these services, and had good knowledge of MTM. Pharmacists who completed a pharmacy residency programme and had good knowledge and a positive attitude towards MTM services usually strongly intended to provide them.

Knowledge, attitude and practice of community pharmacy personnel in tuberculosis patient detection: a multicentre cross-sectional study in a high-burden tuberculosis setting

Summary: Most participants in community pharmacies in Indonesia have a good level of knowledge and positive attitude towards TB patient detection, but this does not always translate into actual practice. Factors such as TB training experience, provision of drug consultation services, and positive attitude towards TBPD are significantly associated with performing TBPD practice. Further efforts are needed to improve TB educational programs and develop effective strategies to engage community pharmacies in TBPD activities.

Pharmacists' Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice of Medication Therapy Management: A Systematic Review

Summary: Understanding pharmacists' knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) towards medication therapy management (MTM) is essential for designing successful service delivery. This review examined the KAP of pharmacists globally, as well as their perceived challenges, barriers, and facilitators to MTM provision. The findings showed that pharmacists had considerable knowledge, positive attitudes, and had been practicing some MTM elements. Factors such as age, education, experience, and practice setting were associated with pharmacists' KAP. Challenges related to pharmacist-patient and pharmacist-physician relationships, while barriers included insufficient time, staff, compensation, and training. Patient willingness to participate and educational background were identified as facilitators. These findings can inform the development of MTM programs and interventions to improve effectiveness.

Cost-Effectiveness Analysis of a Pharmacist-Led Medication Therapy Management Program: Hypertension Management
