Zeolitic imidazolate framework-67 derived Al-Co-S hierarchical sheets bridged by nitrogen-doped graphene: Incorporation of PANI derived carbon nanorods for solid-state asymmetric supercapacitors

Emad S. Goda et al.

Summary: A hierarchical composite of Al-CoS2 on nitrogen-doped graphene (NG) is prepared and exhibits excellent electrochemical performance and cycle stability in supercapacitor electrodes. The fast electron transfer and charging-discharging processes are achieved by controlling the Al/Co feeding ratio and the influence of Al3+ on the graphene composite. A solid-state asymmetric supercapacitor device is made by combining the composite with a negative electrode made of polyaniline-derived carbon nanorods (PCNRs).

Alisson A. Iles Velez et al.

Summary: By combining PVA with VAVTD, the electrical properties of alkaline gel polymer electrolytes can be improved, increasing conductivity and environmental adaptability. According to XRD, TGA, and ATR-FTIR tests, the rearrangement of PVA chains depending on VAVTD content enhances the electrolyte's amorphous region. In Zn-air batteries, PVA-T4 and PVA-T5 exhibit capacities of 165 mAh and 195 mAh in KOH, demonstrating good performance.

Multifunctional structural supercapacitor based on cement/PVA-KOH composite and graphene

Chang Xu et al.

Summary: The multifunctional structural supercapacitor based on cement/PVA-KOH composite and highly electrically graphene shows improved ionic conductivity and specific capacitance with higher PVA content and hydrolysis degree, while the effects of PVA's polymerization degree on these properties are opposite. The addition of KOH changes the structure of PVA from crystalline to amorphous, enabling ionic conduction. In terms of mechanical properties, the compressive strength of the composite is enhanced with 2% PVA content, but decreases with PVA's polymerization degree and increases with PVA's hydrolysis degree.
