Electromagnetic Performance of NiMgCuZn Ferrite for Hyperthermia Application in Cancer Treatment

Xinliang Ge et al.

Summary: In this study, NiMgCuZn ferrites with different Mg ion concentrations were prepared, and the effect of Mg ion content on the crystal structure, magnetic, and permeability properties was investigated. The results showed that the materials had high crystallinity, and the lattice constant increased with the Mg ion content. The saturation magnetization decreased, while the permeability and magnetic loss increased with the doping of Mg. Importantly, the Curie temperature of the ferrite decreased with the Mg ion content and met the requirements of tumor hyperthermia.

Synthesis of dysprosium doped cobalt ferrites nanoparticles by solgel auto-combustion method and influence of grinding techniques on structural, Morphological, and magnetic properties

Chnar Aziz et al.

Summary: The synthesis of Dysprosium doped cobalt ferrite nanoparticles was done using sol-gel auto-combustion route. A new grinding technique, ultrasonic wet-grinding, was introduced alongside traditional grinding for improving the nano powders. Various studies confirmed the changes in structural, morphological, and magnetic properties, with an increase in bulk density and reduction in porosity observed with the ultrasonic technique.

Tertiary Ni0.7-xZn0.3MxFe2O4 (M=Mn, Co, and Cu) spinel ferrites: Electrical and dielectric properties

N. Abu-Elsaad et al.

Summary: Three systems of polycrystalline Ni0.7-xZn0.3MxFe2O4 ferrite doped with Mn/Co/Cu ions were studied for their conductivity and dielectric parameters. The conductivity showed metallic and semiconductor-like behavior with temperature and frequency variations. The conduction mechanism is attributed to small polaron hopping between Fe3+ and Fe2+ ions, with dielectric parameters evolving independently with increasing Mn/Co/Cu concentrations.

Influence of Dy3+ Ions on the Microstructures and Magnetic, Electrical, and Microwave Properties of [Ni0.4Cu0.2Zn0.4](Fe2-xDyx)O4 (0.00 ≤ x ≤ 0.04) Spinel Ferrites

Munirah Abdullah Almessiere et al.

Summary: In this study, [Ni0.4Cu0.2Zn0.4](Fe2-xDyx)O-4 spinel ferrite nanoparticles with different Dy3+ concentrations were synthesized using a citrate sol-gel auto-combustion technique. It was found that an increase in Dy3+ concentration led to changes in crystal structure parameters and slight alterations in particle size and specific surface area. Dy3+ ions preferentially occupied the octahedral B site due to their larger ionic radius, affecting the electrical and magnetic properties of the nanoparticles. Changes in microwave properties and electromagnetic absorption were attributed to the microstructure characteristics and the presence of dysprosium-oxygen-iron indirect exchange.

Correlation between chemical composition, electrical, magnetic and microwave properties in Dy-substituted Ni-Cu-Zn ferrites

M. A. Almessiere et al.

Summary: Dy3+ ion-substituted nanoferrites were synthesized via sol-gel method, and their chemical composition, crystal structure, electrical, magnetic, and microwave properties were investigated. The samples exhibited a single-phase state with a decrease in average crystallite size and a superparamagnetic character at room temperature. Microwave properties were discussed in terms of electromagnetic absorption in the frequency range of 1-20 GHz.
