Global Prevalence and Mental Health Outcomes of Intimate Partner Violence Among Women: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Summary: The aim of this systematic review is to assess the association between different types of intimate partner violence (IPV) and mental health outcomes, and to explain the variation in prevalence rates between low- to middle-income countries and high-income countries. The study includes a meta-analysis of quantitative studies published from 2012 to 2020, and the results show a significant impact of IPV on mental health, as well as differences in prevalence rates across different economic contexts. These findings highlight the importance of addressing the mental health needs of IPV survivors and developing tailored support services.

The effectiveness of schema therapy for patients with anxiety disorders, OCD, or PTSD: A systematic review and research agenda

Prevalence and Perception of Intimate Partner Violence-Related Traumatic Brain Injury

Summary: This single-center cross-sectional cohort study aimed to determine the proportion of women presenting to an acquired brain injury (ABI) clinic with confirmed or suspected concussion who reported experiencing intimate partner violence (IPV). The study found that approximately 26.5% of women experienced IPV in the past 12 months and 44.0% experienced IPV in their lifetime. Additionally, 29.2% of participants had a potential lifetime IPV-related traumatic brain injury (TBI).
