This study investigated the preventive effect of curcumin against copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO NPs) toxicity in human placental cells, and found that curcumin effectively mitigated CuO NP-induced cytotoxicity by reducing oxidative stress and restoring antioxidant levels. Further investigation into the pharmacological potential of curcumin in nanoparticle-induced toxicity during pregnancy is warranted.
