Ni3P2O8 nanodots anchored multiwalled carbon nanotubes composite for flexible all-solid-state symmetric supercapacitor

Akanksha Agarwal et al.

Summary: In this study, multi-walled carbon nanotubes decorated by Ni3P2O8 nanodots (Ni3P2O8/ MWCNT) were synthesized on a flexible substrate for supercapacitor application. The designed composite exhibited synergistic effects, with Ni3P2O8 nanodots contributing significantly to high-performance energy storage while MWCNT acted as a conductive and mechanical support for Ni3P2O8 growth. The corresponding flexible all-solid-state symmetric supercapacitor achieved a maximum specific energy of 72.3 Wh kg-1 and a power density of 6.4 kW kg-1 across a voltage window of 1.8 V, demonstrating promising potential for enhanced flexible energy storage.

Novel Supercapacitor Electrode Derived from One Dimensional Cerium Hydrogen Phosphate (1D-Ce(HPO4)2.xH2O)

Jong Hee Yoon et al.

Summary: In this manuscript, we report for the first time the use of one-dimensional cerium hydrogen phosphate as an electrode material for supercapacitors. The material was prepared using a simple hydrothermal technique. The resulting material exhibited a high specific surface area and a nanorod-like structure. In a three-electrode configuration, the material showed a high specific capacitance. Furthermore, a symmetric supercapacitor fabricated using this material demonstrated reasonable specific energy, moderate specific power, and outstanding cyclic durability.

Porous Ni2P/Co2(P2O7) heterojunction nanosheets as an advanced electrode for high-performance supercapacitors

Mei Yi et al.

Summary: Heterogeneous Ni2P/Co-2(P2O7) porous nanosheet arrays were successfully synthesized by solvothermal reaction and low-temperature phosphating. The heterojunction formed between Ni2P and Co-2(P2O7) facilitates charge redistribution and accelerates electron transport. The porous nanostructure of the material increases specific surface area and chemical active sites and allows better electrolyte penetration. The resulting electrode shows high specific capacity and good cycle stability, while the assembled asymmetric supercapacitor device exhibits high energy density and excellent capacity retention.
