Porous polymer cement composites for quasi-solid graphene supercapacitors

Juan Wang et al.

Summary: We have developed a low-cost and highly efficient hybrid material composed of polymer modified Portland cement (PC) and graphene oxide (GO) for solid-state supercapacitors. The interconnected porous structure of the composite ensures high ionic conductivity and enables effective energy storage. The optimized PAA (Mw = 5000)/PC-5% sample exhibits excellent multifunctionality, with an energy density of 15.93 mW h cm-2 and a compressive strength of 16.2 MPa after 28 days of curing. This integrated solid-state supercapacitor, fabricated using electrophoretic deposition of GO on Ni foam, demonstrates its significance in energy storage applications in the field of inorganic building materials.
