Controllable adjustment of oxygen contents in activated carbons and oxygen effect on electrochemical performances in supercapacitors

Summary: In this study, oxygen-doped activated carbons were prepared from glucose through hydrothermal synthesis and a two-step consecutive activation/treatment. The oxygen content in the carbons was controlled by regulating the treatment parameters. The activated carbons with the highest oxygen content showed the best electrochemical performances in sulfuric acid electrolyte, while those with the lowest oxygen content exhibited the best electrochemical performances in organic electrolyte.

Structure control of heteroatoms' self-doped porous carbon materials derived from cyclomatrix polyphosphazene for high-performance supercapacitor application

Summary: By adjusting the side group ratio of NTFCP and the carbonization temperature, the structure and properties of the NTFCP precursor were optimized, resulting in carbon materials with controllable micromorphology and unique element composition. The obtained cNTFCP65-600 exhibited a large specific surface area and a high proportion of mesopores, and the doping of nitrogen, oxygen, and phosphorous contributed to its excellent electrochemical performance.

A study of porous carbon structures derived from composite of cross-linked polymers and reduced graphene oxide for supercapacitor applications

Among them, activated carbon from polyvinyl alcohol/reduced graphene/polyvinyl pyrrolidone exhibited the best electrochemical performance.
