Particle-Triggered Corona Discharge Characteristics in Air Insulation Under DC Voltage

Daniar Fahmi et al.

Summary: This study investigates the corona discharge characteristics generated from a wire particle at different positions in gas insulation. It is found that each position creates a unique discharge pattern, and the length of the wire particle also affects the discharge characteristics.

Phytochemical compounds extraction from medicinal plants by subcritical water and its encapsulation via electrospraying

Siti Machmudah et al.

Summary: In this study, phytochemical compounds were successfully extracted and encapsulated from medicinal plants using subcritical water and the electrospraying technique. The extracted phenolic compounds did not increase linearly with increasing extraction temperatures and pressures. Encapsulated particle products exhibited spherical morphologies with diameters less than 1 μm, confirming successful encapsulation of the medicinal plant extracts by PVP.

Synthesis of titanium dioxide nanoparticle by means of discharge plasma over an aqueous solution under high-pressure gas environment

Wahyudiono et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated the utilization of an electric field generated by high voltage discharge plasma over a liquid water surface containing glycine compound to synthesize TiO2 nanoparticles. The applied voltages, pulse numbers, and repetition rates significantly influenced the decomposition reaction of glycine compounds and electrode erosion. The UV-vis spectra and HRTEM images confirmed the formation of TiO2 nanoparticles and TiC as nanoparticle products, suggesting that this process has potential for advanced nanoparticle synthesis technology.

Transient discharge characteristics of insulator short-circuit under high voltage

Shancheng Qi et al.

Summary: This paper investigates insulation failure in high voltage transmission using the finite element method to establish a mathematical model of short-circuit insulator discharge. The study explores the generation, adsorption, and neutralization of electrons, positive ions, and negative ions during the discharge process, as well as the effects of space charge variation on electric field intensity. Results show that electron concentration follows a Gaussian distribution during the discharge, providing evidence and theoretical reference for avoiding transient discharge in equipment operation.
