Non-similar investigation of magnetized boundary layer flow of nanofluid with the effects of Joule heating, viscous dissipation and heat source/sink

Saman Riaz et al.

Summary: The main objective of this study is to investigate the effects of various parameters on the magnetohydrodynamic convection flow of a nanofluid across a stretched sheet. The study includes the influence of viscous dissipation, Joule heating, and slip condition, as well as convective boundary condition, mass flux and heat source. The results show that the values of volume fraction and slip parameter increase the skin friction coefficient, while the values of Hartman number and porosity parameter decrease it. Furthermore, the values of volume fraction, slip parameter, and Eckert number decrease the local Nusselt number, while the values of Hartman number, porosity parameter, and heat source parameter increase it.

Impact of impulsive motion on the Eyring-Powell nanofluid flow across a rotating sphere in MHD convective regime: Entropy analysis

P. M. Patil et al.

Summary: This study investigates the entropy optimization in the Eyring-Powell nanofluid flow over an impulsive rotating, moving sphere in an unsteady combined convection regime with the effect of magnetized field, activation energy, and liquid hydrogen diffusion. The findings show that the fluid velocity and surface friction tend to decrease for Eyring-Powell nanofluid compared to the primary Newtonian nanofluid. The energy transfer strength is reduced by approximately 11% for increasing values of magnetic field characteristics, while a small change in the Brownian diffusion characteristics reinforces the mass transfer strength by approximately 11%. The entropy generation is pronounced more for linear combined convection and adopting nonlinear combined convection with a magnetic field can reduce the entropy generation.

Analysis of periodic magnetohydrodynamics effects on triple diffusive nonlinear mixed convective flow of Eyring-Powell nanoliquid

Prabhugouda Mallangouda Patil et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the triply diffusive mixed convective flow of Eyring-Powell nanoliquid over a vertical plate. The results show that the variations in the nonlinear mixed convection parameter and Powell-Eyring liquid parameter have a significant impact on the fluid temperature and skin friction coefficient in a periodic magnetic field. Additionally, wavy variations in fluid temperature and energy transfer rate are observed due to oscillatory magnetic fields.

MHD Ellis nanofluids flow around rotating cone in the presence of motile oxytactic microorganisms

Sameh E. Ahmed et al.

Summary: This paper presents novel treatments for the Ellis non-Newtonian nanofluids flow over a rotating cone in the presence of motile oxytactic microorganisms. Various important impacts such as magnetic field, non-linear radiation, viscous dissipation, heat generation and Joule heating are examined in simulations. The results show that skin friction is higher at alpha = 2 while the highest heat transfer rate is at alpha = 1, and both velocity and temperature gradients decrease with an increase in bioconvection Rayleigh number.

Summary: This study examines the impact of vertical vibration on a shallow horizontal suspension of dilute oxytactic microorganisms heated from below. The findings suggest that high frequency and low amplitude vertical vibration can stabilize the suspension, while the absence of vertical vibration can destabilize it.

Summary: This paper investigates the bioconvection of oxytactic microorganisms with NEPCMs in an omega-shaped porous enclosure, focusing on the impact of controlling parameters on flow and heat transfer characteristics. It is found that the intensity and position of the melting zone are controlled by the fusion temperature, while the oxygen and micro-organisms isoconcentration is enhanced with the growth of bioconvection Rayleigh number.

A computational study of the triple-diffusive nonlinear convective nanoliquid flow over a wedge under convective boundary constraints

P. M. Patil et al.

Summary: The study focuses on the triple-diffusive nonlinear combined convective nanoliquid flow at a wedge with convective boundary constraints and viscous dissipation. Nonlinear coupled partial differential equations with boundary constraints are used to model the flow problem, which are then solved using the Quasilinearization technique and implicit finite difference approximation. The findings suggest that higher Schmidt number values decrease the mass diffusivity of liquid oxygen compared to liquid hydrogen, and increasing Biot number values enhance the magnitude of energy transfer rate.
