Object-centric process predictive analytics

Riccardo Galanti et al.

Summary: Object-centric processes are implementations where instances of processes interact with each other through data exchange. The complex associations between process instances pose challenges for predictive analytics. This paper proposes an approach to incorporate object interactions into predictive models and evaluates its effectiveness using real-life data.

Software Reliability: Development of Software Defect Prediction Models Using Advanced Techniques

Mayur Jagtap et al.

Summary: The development of the next generation of smarter machines and services requires an easy-to-use technology stack that includes hardware, embedded software, data, and applications. The reliability of both hardware and software is critical for providing a distinctive customer experience. This paper proposes models and techniques, such as pattern recognition algorithms and fuzzy logic, to improve software reliability prediction during early development phases. Additionally, non-parametric models like Artificial Neural Network from deep learning are recommended for predicting the expected number of failures based on past failure data.

Standardization Workflow Technology of Software Testing Processes and its Application to SRGM on RSA Timing Attack Tasks

Nan Li et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a standardization workflow technology to construct a management system for software testing processes, which is applied to the software testing of RSA timing attack tasks. Multiple SRGMs are employed to evaluate software reliability, and their fitting power and predictive performance are compared. The experimental results show that the proposed technology can effectively regulate the software testing processes and improve the credibility of reliability analysis.

Discovering System Dynamics Simulation Models Using Process Mining

Mahsa Pourbafrani et al.

Summary: Process mining techniques use historic event data to describe and model real processes, which can be used for process improvement. Coarse-grained process logs describe performance variables over time, while System Dynamics captures relationships between process variables at a higher level of abstraction. This paper proposes a new framework that automatically discovers underlying relationships and generates System Dynamics simulations using transformed event data.

Mining Batch Activation Rules from Event Logs

Niels Martin et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a technique for inductively mining batch activation rules from process execution data, aiming to enhance methodological support for studying human resources' batching behavior. The effectiveness of this technique is demonstrated through evaluation using both synthetic and real-world data. With this work, we complement prescriptive research on batch processing with a descriptive technique grounded in empirical data.
