Robust Automatic Modulation Classification in Low Signal to Noise Ratio

To Truong An et al.

Summary: In a non-cooperative communication environment, automatic modulation classification (AMC) is crucial for analyzing signals and classifying different types of signal modulation. Deep learning (DL)-based AMC has been proposed as an efficient method to achieve high classification performance. However, current DL-AMC methods have limited generalization capabilities under varying noise conditions, especially at low signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs). This paper introduces a threshold autoencoder denoiser convolutional neural network (TADCNN) that improves classification accuracy by 70% at low SNR and achieves higher accuracy compared to the current AMC model on the RML2016.10A dataset.

Automatic Modulation Recognition Based on Deep-Learning Features Fusion of Signal and Constellation Diagram

Hui Han et al.

Summary: In this paper, a signal modulation recognition method based on multi-feature fusion is proposed in the context of non-cooperative communication systems. A deep learning network with a double-branch structure is constructed to extract the features of IQ signal and multi-channel constellation respectively. By leveraging the complementary characteristics of different forms of signals, a more complete signal feature representation is constructed, which improves the recognition performance in the presence of noise and frequency offset, and effectively enhances the classification accuracy of modulation recognition.

A Robust Constellation Diagram Representation for Communication Signal and Automatic Modulation Classification

Pengfei Ma et al.

Summary: Automatic modulation recognition is important in both military and civilian fields as it plays a necessary role in cooperative and noncooperative communication systems. The extraction of constellation diagrams (CD) becomes challenging in noncooperative complex communication environments. The proposed antifrequency offset constellation diagram (AFO-CD) extraction method effectively suppresses the influence of frequency offset and improves the recognition accuracy using a convolutional neural network (CNN) and a residual units-based classifier.
