Optimal energy management for multi-energy multi-microgrid networks considering carbon emission limitations

Xiaoqing Zhong et al.

Summary: Multi-energy multi-microgrid (MMG) networks are an important form of energy systems that aim to integrate energy resources and improve energy utilization efficiency. This paper proposes an optimal energy management strategy for minimizing the operation cost of an MMG network, considering operation constraints and carbon emissions. The strategy consists of a day-ahead phase and an intra-day phase to address the uncertainty effects of renewable energy sources (RESs) generation and load demands.

An Optimized Framework for Energy Management of Multi-Microgrid Systems

Komal Naz et al.

Summary: This paper proposes an optimized and coordinated energy management strategy for multi-microgrid (MMG) systems, operating at both local and global optimization levels. The strategy aims to enhance system reliability by avoiding extreme load curtailment and prioritizing shedding non-sensitive loads over sensitive loads in case of load shedding. The effectiveness of the proposed model is verified through Monte Carlo Simulations on the IEEE 33-bus distribution system.

An Emergency Active and Reactive Power Exchange Solution for Interconnected Microgrids

Mobin Naderi et al.

Summary: This article discusses the application of interconnected microgrids in handling emergency situations of individual microgrids by exchanging active and reactive powers to maintain stable voltage and frequency. Logical control and droop control are employed to determine the required power exchange based on local voltage and frequency, improving the reliability of interconnected microgrids.

Impact of Grid Strength and Impedance Characteristics on the Maximum Power Transfer Capability of Grid-Connected Inverters

Liang Huang et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the power transfer capability in grids with different strengths, finding that grids with higher short circuit ratio or lower resistance-inductance ratio have higher power transfer capability. Additionally, under resistive grid conditions, a higher voltage at the point of common coupling is beneficial for increasing the power transfer capability.

Grid Impedance Impact on the Maximum Power Transfer Capability of Grid-Connected Inverter

Liang Huang et al.

Summary: This paper analyses the maximum power transfer capability of grid-connected renewable energy generation systems, indicating that inverters connected to the AC grid with a larger SCR or a smaller R/X ratio have greater power transfer capabilities. Critical conditions for inductive and resistive grids are different, with SCR=1 being critical for effective power transmission in an inductive grid and a minimum SCR of 5 required for effective power transmission in a resistive grid. Simulation results confirm the analysis effectiveness.
