Multisite Cation Regulation of Broadband Cyan-Emitting (Ba1-xSrx)(9)Lu2Si6O24/Eu2+ Phosphors for Full-Spectrum wLEDs

Min Cao et al.

Summary: Developing broadband cyan-emitting phosphors is crucial for achieving high-quality full-spectrum phosphor-converted white light-emitting diodes. Multisite cation regulation is an effective method to achieve broadband emission in phosphors. The substitution of Sr in the Ba9Lu2Si6O24 lattice affects the location of Eu2+ activator ions, leading to changes in luminescence properties and thermal stability. The Sr-substituted (Ba0.8Sr0.2)(9)Lu2Si6O24/Eu2+ sample exhibits a broadband emission spectrum, making it an excellent candidate for broadband cyan-emitting phosphors in high-quality full-spectrum wLEDs.

Enhanced blue-light excited cyan-emitting persistent luminescence of BaLu2Al2Ga2SiO12:Ce3+, Bi3+ phosphors for AC-LEDs via defect modulation

Weihong Yuan et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the flicker effect of AC-LEDs and proposes a solution by designing blue-light excited cyan-emitting persistent luminescence (PersL) phosphors with co-doping Bi3+. The co-doping of Bi3+ enhances the intensity and regulates the lifetime of the phosphors. By adding the blue-light excited cyan PersL phosphor to the original orange-red PersL phosphor, a low-flicker AC-LED lamp is successfully fabricated, showing potential for practical applications.
