The study found a high prevalence of NAFLD, with significant associations with age, obesity, hypertriglyceridemia, and diabetes. Effect of a 12-week home-based exercise training program on aerobic capacity, muscle mass, liver and spleen stiffness, and quality of life in cirrhotic patients: a randomized controlled clinical trial

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of a 12-week home-based exercise training program on aerobic capacity in cirrhotic patients. The results showed that this aerobic training program significantly improved the fatigue domain of the quality of life index in compensated cirrhotic patients, without any increase in adverse events. However, no benefit was observed in terms of aerobic capacity, thigh muscle mass, liver stiffness, and spleen stiffness.

EncephalApp stroop test versus electronic number connection test-A for screening minimal hepatic encephalopathy in patients with liver cirrhosis: a comparative study

Summary: This study compared the efficiency, convenience, accessibility, and acceptability of EncephalApp and eNCT-A for minimal hepatic encephalopathy (MHE) screening in cirrhotic patients. The results showed that there was no significant difference in the MHE screening efficiency between EncephalApp and eNCT-A. However, eNCT-A demonstrated better convenience and higher acceptability in cirrhotic patients.

The effect of direct-acting antiviral regimens and telemedicine on the treatment of inmates with hepatitis C virus infection in Israeli prisons
