Improving PV power plant forecast accuracy: A hybrid deep learning approach compared across short, medium, and long-term horizons

Delnia Sadeghi et al.

Summary: This research paper explores the use of LSTM and GSA-LSTM methods for predicting PV power output in different time horizons. It proposes precise hyperparameters for the LSTM network to enhance performance prediction. The study demonstrates that GSA-LSTM outperforms LSTM by improving MSE at peak points for different horizons, with improvements ranging from 10% to 34%. The proposed methodology achieves significantly higher accuracy in predicting PV power output than previous studies, with a maximum improvement of about 28% for the 1 hour ahead horizon.

Summary: This study uses Fuzzy-Boolean logic and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) decision analysis based on GIS to locate and evaluate the potential of a photovoltaic solar power plant in Khuzestan province. The optimal locations are selected based on criteria such as climate, economy, topography, and environment. The results show that only a small percentage of the province's total area is suitable for installing a photovoltaic system. The study also calculates the annual power generation potential using different types of silicon panels and identifies the most suitable areas in the province.

Summary: This study focuses on integrating small capacity prosumers into district heating networks. The challenge lies in the unpredictable fluctuations in cloud cover and pressure drops in the network for solar collector installations. An experimental prototype and a simulation model were developed to analyze options for improving feed-in temperature stability. The results show that cloud cover has a strong influence on the stability of collector outlet temperature.
