Spatial estimation of fundamental mode dispersion curves using geostatistical techniques

Summary: This study introduces geostatistical techniques for estimating dispersion curves, using stacking and group-velocity mapping methods. By obtaining group-velocity fundamental mode dispersion curves from seismic noise correlation and comparing them with results from fast marching tomography, it is found that the proposed methodologies provide similar outcomes.
