IGF2BP2 enhances LincRNA01116 stability via m6A: A potential biomarker and therapeutic target for patients with pre-eclampsia

Tingting Zhang et al.

Summary: This study discovered that linc01116 expression was significantly reduced in pre-eclampsia (PE) patients and was associated with poor uterine spiral artery remodeling. Knockdown of linc01116 decreased trophoblast cell angiogenesis both in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, IGF2BP2 regulated linc01116 RNA stability through m(6)A methylation. Further experiments revealed that linc01116 upregulated AAMP expression by adsorbing miR-210-3p in trophoblast cells. In conclusion, this study uncovered the crucial role of linc01116 in regulating trophoblast angiogenesis and provided new insights for detecting placental pathology in PE.

Zinc chloride affects chondrogenesis via VEGF signaling

Summary: The study found that Zinc Chloride induces the expression of chondrogenic genes and genes associated with VEGF-mediated signal transduction, with a more significant impact compared to insulin. The VEGFR antagonist Axitinib can attenuate the pro-chondrogenic effects of both insulin and Zinc Chloride, with a more profound reduction observed in cells treated with Zinc Chloride. This suggests an important role of VEGF-mediated signal transduction pathways in the positive effects of zinc-based compounds on chondrogenesis-mediated fracture healing.
