Optical solitons of a high-order nonlinear Schrodinger equation involving nonlinear dispersions and Kerr effect

K. Hosseini et al.

Summary: The main aim of this paper is to conduct a detailed study on a high-order nonlinear Schrodinger equation involving nonlinear dispersions and the Kerr effect. Optical solitons, including bright and dark solitons, are derived through the modified Kudryashov method after reducing the governing model describing ultra-short pulses in optical fibers in a one-dimensional domain. The dynamical behavior of these solitons is formally investigated for different sets of parameters, showing that nonlinear dispersions have significant effects on the soliton amplitudes.

Huitzilin Yepez-Martinez et al.

Summary: The sub-equation method is used to study exact solutions for the conformable perturbed nonlinear Schrodinger equation. The properties of the conformable derivative are discussed and a suitable wave transform is applied to convert the model into a nonlinear ordinary differential equation. The order of the expected solution is determined using the homogeneous balancing approach, and dark and singular soliton solutions are obtained.
