Could Mini-Trampoline Training Be Considered as a New Strategy to Reduce Asymmetries?

Marianna De Maio et al.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the acute effects of SuperJump (R) training on dynamic balance. The results showed that SuperJump (R) training effectively reduced the Unilateral Asymmetry Index and played a key role in minimizing inter-limb imbalance.

Gender Differences in Lower Extremity Stiffness during a Single-Leg Landing Motion in Badminton

Yanan Zhang et al.

Summary: Female athletes are at a significantly higher risk of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury compared to their male counterparts, particularly during a single-leg landing task after a backcourt backhand side overhead stroke in badminton. This study aimed to investigate gender differences in leg and knee stiffness during this specific action. The results showed that female athletes had lower leg and knee stiffness compared to males, suggesting lower dynamic leg stability and increased risk of non-contact ACL injuries.

Effects of Plyometric Training on Lower Body Muscle Architecture, Tendon Structure, Stiffness and Physical Performance: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

Maria Ramirez-delaCruz et al.

Summary: This systematic review and meta-analysis examined the effects of plyometric training on lower body muscle architecture, tendon structure, stiffness, and physical performance. The results showed that plyometric training had moderate effects on muscle structure, tendon stiffness, and lower body jumping and strength performance.

Evaluation of Training Load During Suspension Exercise

Giuseppe Francesco Giancotti et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the training load distribution during suspension exercise, finding that increasing strap length decreased ground reaction force and body inclination, with higher force values in the flexed elbow position. The proposed models offer methods to personalize training and facilitate load progression.
