A Blockchain-Based cryptographic interaction method of digital museum collections

Liutao Zhao et al.

Summary: We developed a museum art exchange protocol (MAXP) for museum digital collections using blockchain technology. MAXP enables online exchange of digital collections between two museums on Ethereum. It eliminates security risks and copyright disputes, and includes a regulatory mechanism to prevent fraud and illegal activities. The exchange system has been successfully tested by the Beijing Planetarium and the Beijing Museum of Natural History, demonstrating its feasibility, security, and scalability. Our encrypted exchange management method of digital collections in museums promotes cultural heritage and scientific knowledge dissemination.

Bibliometric analysis and visualisation of heritage buildings preservation

Basma Mohamed et al.

Summary: This study conducts a bibliometric analysis of the research domain of heritage buildings preservation (HBP) over the past two decades. It summarizes the research trends, prominent articles, scientific collaboration networks, and reliable information sources. The study also visualizes the knowledge structures and identifies trending patterns and promising areas for future exploration. The findings provide fellow researchers with a systematic database to familiarize themselves with the HBP literature and identify research opportunities. Policymakers can also utilize the results to find expert authors and academic support for partnerships and funding.

Linked open data in authoring virtual exhibitions

Daniele Monaco et al.

Summary: In recent years, virtual exhibitions have been widely used to enhance traditional museums and promote interaction with culture. To engage cultural heritage lovers, this study proposes a virtual exhibition authoring tool that allows users to act as exhibition curators. By leveraging linked open data in the format of Knowledge Graphs, users can easily query and customize their exhibitions. However, the complexity of linked open data query languages poses challenges that need to be addressed. The tool presented in this study guides users from querying knowledge graphs to generating virtual experiences, using a natural language interface to mask the technical challenges.
