Ru-Doping-Induced Spin Frustration and Enhancement of the Room-Temperature Anomalous Hall Effect in La2/3Sr1/3MnO3 Films

Enda Hua et al.

Summary: The study finds that Ru doping can enhance the anomalous Hall effect at room temperature in transition-metal-oxide heterostructures. The competition between ferromagnetic double-exchange interaction and antiferromagnetic superexchange interaction due to Ru doping leads to spin frustration and spin-glass state, significantly enhancing the extrinsic anomalous Hall effect.

Deterministic magnetization switching by spin-orbit torque in a ferromagnet with tilted magnetic anisotropy: A macrospin modeling

Fengmao Wang et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates field-free magnetization switching by in-plane current injection via spin-orbit interactions in heavy-metal/ferromagnet bilayer systems, which is of great interest for applications of spin-orbit torque. Deterministic switching of the magnetization of CoFeB with a tilted perpendicular magnetic anisotropy is achieved using this method. The mechanism involves the shift of PMA energy barrier with the magnetization angle, leading to bipolar deterministic switching.

Field-free spin-orbit torque-induced switching of perpendicular magnetization in a ferrimagnetic layer with a vertical composition gradient

Zhenyi Zheng et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates bias-field-free switching of perpendicular ferrimagnets through the use of vertical composition gradient, which induces intrinsic SOTs and gradient-driven DMI to break in-plane symmetry during the switching process. The research provides a novel strategy for designing efficient and compact SOT devices for perpendicular ferrimagnetic materials.
