Ir0/graphdiyne atomic interface for selective epoxidation

Zhiqiang Zheng et al.

Summary: A new type of zerovalent atom catalysts comprised of zerovalent Ir atoms highly dispersed and anchored on graphdiyne (Ir-0/GDY) is developed. The catalyst can selectively and efficiently produce styrene oxides (SO) by electro-oxidizing styrene (ST) in aqueous solutions at ambient conditions. The incomplete charge transfer between Ir-0 and GDY plays a crucial role in enhancing the electron exchange and achieving the selective epoxidation of ST to SO.

Rigid-Flexible Hybrid Porous Molecular Crystals with Guest-Induced Reversible Crystallinity

Danbo Wang et al.

Summary: A weak CH/O hydrogen-bonded organic framework (HOF) with both rigidity and flexibility was created, capable of easily and reversibly switching from a non-crystalline to a crystalline phase. The presence of a specific solvent molecule acts as the key to control the crystallinity, while a highly rigid triangle macrocycle functions as the building block, acting as the lock. Introducing or removing the key influences the local flexibility of the entire framework and leads to switchable crystallinity. Furthermore, the resulting HOF exhibits excellent separation efficiency for benzene and cyclohexane (94.4%).

Hydrogen-Bonded Aggregates Featuringn??*ElectronicTransition for Efficient Visible-Light-Responsive Photocatalysis

Pengju Yang et al.

Summary: This paper reports a discovery that hydrogen-bonded trithiocyanuric acid aggregates can function as photocatalysts. The visible-light harvesting ability of the aggregates is attributed to the weak conjugation between sulfur atoms and the triazine moiety. The weak entanglement of the aggregates promotes charge delocalization and prolongs charge lifetime, resulting in high photocatalytic hydrogen production activity. Similar photocatalytic functions were observed in a series of sulfur/oxygen/nitrogen-containing non-covalent aggregates, suggesting a general principle of aggregation-induced photocatalysis.
