Petrogenesis of Jurassic granites linked to crustal growth above the subduction zone in the Lesser Xing'an Range (LXR), NE China

Xian Chen et al.

Summary: Through analysis of the geochemical, geochronological, and zircon Hf-O isotope compositions of the Cuigang monzogranite, Dongan syenogranite, and Luming monzogranite in the Lesser Xing'an Range of the Songliao Block, it is discovered that these plutons are related to mantle heat and mass, and may be linked to widespread crust-mantle interactions during the Early Jurassic.

Magma-mixing origin for the Early Jurassic intrusive rocks in the eastern Songnen-Zhangguangcai Range Massif, NE China: Evidence from geochronology, geochemistry and Hf-O-Sr-Nd isotopes

Haina Li et al.

Summary: This study investigates the petrogenesis of dioritic enclaves in granites in the Songnen-Zhangguangcai Range Massif using isotopic composition, geochemistry, and mineral analysis. The results suggest that the enclaves were formed through mixing and mingling of mantle- and crust-derived magma, while the host granites originated from partial melting of the continental crust with involvement of mantle-derived melts. This study provides insights into the crust-mantle hybridization process and the subduction of the Mudanjiang Oceanic crust during the Early Jurassic.

Provenance of Jurassic Sediments from Yuqia Sandstone-Type Uranium Deposits in the Northern Margin of Qaidam Basin, China and Its Implications for Uranium Mineralization

Guangwen Huang et al.

Summary: This paper focuses on the study of Jurassic sandstones in the northern margin of the Qaidam Basin, and reveals that coffinite and pitchblende are the main contributors to uranium mineralization in the area. Independent uranium minerals are mainly found in strawberry pyrite, xenotime, and margins of quartz. The Jurassic sandstones in the source area mainly originated from the Indosinian and Paleozoic granitoids exposed in the northern margin of the Qaidam Basin. The uranium-rich granites led to the preconcentration of uranium in the sandstone of the target layer and its subsequent enrichment in ore-bearing layers.

Revisiting the Late Jurassic adakitic rocks in the Yanshan fold and thrust belts, North China Craton: Partial melts from thickened continental crust?

Ya-Dong Wu et al.

Summary: This integrated study on Jurassic adakitic volcanic rocks from the Yanshan Fold and Thrust Belt in the North China Craton investigates their genesis and the role of crust thickness. It reveals that these rocks are sourced from mafic lower continental crust and suggests that the crust thickening may be attributed to the subduction of the Paleo-Pacific plate. This finding is significant for understanding the earliest appearance of feathered characteristics in dinosaurs in this region.

Chronology and geochemical characteristics of the highly fractionated alkali feldspar granite from the Maodeng deposit in the southern Great Xing'an Range

Ji GenYuan et al.

Summary: By studying the geochemical characteristics and zircon U-Pb age of alkali feldspar granite in the Maodeng deposit, it is found that the granite was formed during the Early Cretaceous under conditions of low oxygen fugacity and high temperature. The rock is mainly derived from the partial melting of a juvenile lower crust.

Geochronology, geochemistry, and Sr-Nd-Pb-Hf isotopes of ore-related diorites in the Erdaohe Pb-Zn-Ag deposit, Great Hinggan Range, NE China: Constraints on timing, petrogenesis and tectonic setting

Xiang-Guo Guo et al.

Summary: The Erdaohe deposit is a large-sized skarn Pb-Zn-Ag deposit in NE China, with ore-related diorites emplaced at 145-142 Ma displaying geochemical features typical of arc magmas. The formation of the deposit was likely associated with subduction of the Paleo-Pacific plate, as suggested by isotopic data, regional geodynamic evolution, and geochemical evidence.

An ancient continental crustal source for Mo mineralisation in the eastern Central Asian Orogen: A case study of the Bilugangan Mo deposit

Lili Zhang et al.

Summary: The Bilugangan porphyry Mo deposit is located in the southern Great Xing'an Range in the eastern part of the Central Asian Orogen. The deposit is hosted by a composite granite with complex mineralization, indicating possible involvement of multiple magmatic events.

Origin of the Erdaohe Ag-Pb-Zn deposit, central Great Xing'an Range, northeast China: Constraints from fluid inclusions, zircon U-Pb geochronology, and stable isotopes

Xiaolong He et al.

Summary: The large-scale Erdaohe Ag-Pb-Zn deposit in China is characterized by multiple orebodies formed through four stages of mineralization, with different fluid characteristics recorded by fluid inclusions. Sulfur isotope analysis suggests a magmatic source for the sulfur in sulfides. Oxygen isotope data from quartz samples indicate a magmatic origin for the mineralizing fluids, with later addition of meteoric water playing a role in metal mineralization.

Mineralization of the Daolundaba Cu-Sn-W-Ag deposit in the southern Great Xing'an Range, China: Constraints from geochronology, geochemistry, and Hf isotope

Gongzheng Chen et al.

Summary: The Daolundaba deposit, located in the southern Great Xing'an Range, is a medium-sized Cu-Sn-W-Ag deposit dominated by copper. The mineralization of the deposit is closely related to Early Cretaceous highly fractionated granites, with fractional crystallization of granitic magmas being the important controlling factor for the formation of the deposit.

Effects of igneous intrusions on diagenesis and reservoir quality of sandstone in the Songliao Basin, China

Hui Rong et al.

Summary: An exceptional example in the Qianjiadian area, Songliao Basin, illustrates the effects of igneous intrusions on diagenesis and reservoir quality of sandstone. The intrusion of diabase dikes has been found to impact sandstone diagenesis through two stages, resulting in changes in reservoir quality. Hydrothermal fluids generated by the diabase dikes have influenced the development of secondary pores in the sandstone.

Zhang LiShi et al.

Summary: The study focused on granitoids from the Houdaomu area in the Central Asian Orogenic Belt, revealing the mechanisms and characteristics of crustal growth through petrological and geochemical analysis. Results indicate that these granitoids were formed by the remelting of the lower crust, influenced by the subduction of the Paleo Pacific Plate.
