An efficient GRASP-like algorithm for the multi-product straight pipeline scheduling problem

Meryem Bamoumen et al.

Summary: This work focuses on the scheduling problem of a multi-product straight pipeline system. The goal is to find a batch sequence that maximizes the total volume transported through the pipeline while meeting daily customer demands. Constraints related to inventory levels, batch settling periods, product sequences, and pipeline stoppage periods are considered. A MILP model and a GRASP-like algorithm are proposed, and numerical experiments demonstrate their competitiveness in terms of solution quality and computational time.

Deeppipe: A deep-learning method for anomaly detection of multi-product pipelines

Jianqin Zheng et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a deep-learning method for multi-product pipeline anomaly detection from the perspective of the temporal and spatial characteristics of the pipeline system. By establishing a simulation pipeline system and constructing pressure matrixes, the method utilizes adaptive padding network and pairing network for processing and inputting into a customized ranking model to achieve anomaly detection of multi-product pipelines. The results of the experiments demonstrate high accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score of the proposed hybrid model.

A solution framework for the long-term scheduling and inventory management of straight pipeline systems with multiple-sources

William Hitoshi Tsunoda Meira et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a generic solution framework combining heuristic procedures and mixed integer linear programming (MILP) models for the long-term scheduling of pumping and delivery operations on straight multiproduct pipeline systems connecting multiple-sources to multiple-destinations. An innovative execution procedure using a rolling horizon strategy is developed to solve the problems, considering various operational aspects of real-world pipeline systems. The proposed framework is validated through solving illustrative and real-world based pipeline problems, showing effective solutions with detailed inventory management and adherence to operational constraints.

Deeppipe: A semi-supervised learning for operating condition recognition of multi-product pipelines

Jianqin Zheng et al.

Summary: Intelligent operating monitoring of pipelines is crucial for detecting anomalies in time to ensure safety. A proposed semi-supervised learning approach for operating condition recognition shows high accuracy and performance, outperforming other machine learning models. The method proves effective for overcoming challenges in accurately identifying changing operating conditions of multi-product pipelines.
