Effects of the SNAP25 on Integration Ability of Brain Functions in Children With ADHD

Yue Yang et al.

Summary: This study found that SNAP25 affects the integration ability of intrinsic brain functions in children with ADHD. Specifically, G-carriers showed higher integration ability in certain brain areas, and the integration ability was related to working memory.

Different effects of the DRD4 genotype on intrinsic brain network connectivity strength in drug-naive children with ADHD and healthy controls

Shuangli Chen et al.

Summary: The study examined the effects of the DRD4 genotype on brain network connectivity in untreated ADHD children and healthy children, finding significant interactions in specific brain regions. Further subdivision of the brain network revealed additional regions with significant interactions, suggesting that the DRD4 genotype may regulate brain network integration differently in ADHD subjects and healthy controls.

Abnormal hemispheric asymmetry of both brain function and structure in attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder: a meta-analysis of individual participant data

Ningning He et al.

Summary: In this study, a comprehensive meta-analysis was conducted on imaging data from ADHD patients and control subjects, revealing the significant role of brain asymmetry in ADHD, especially in regions like the prefrontal, frontal, subcortical, and cerebellar areas where structural and functional abnormalities were found.

ADHD-inattentive versus ADHD-Combined subtypes: A severity continuum or two distinct entities? A comprehensive analysis of clinical, cognitive and neuroimaging data

Zhao-Min Wu et al.

Summary: The current study explored the multimodal differences between the inattentive ADHD (ADHD-I) subtype and the combined ADHD (ADHD-C) subtype. The results showed that both ADHD groups exhibited elevated levels of behavioral and emotional problems compared to healthy controls. The ADHD-C group had more behavioral problems and emotional liability, while the ADHD-I group had less anxiety. Both ADHD groups showed impairments in most cognitive domains, except for sustained attention. The brain imaging findings revealed distinct structural differences between the two ADHD subtypes.

Altered functional connectivity in children with ADHD while performing cognitive control task

Uttam Kumar et al.

Summary: This study examines the task-based functional-connectivity in children with attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD), revealing abnormal connectivity patterns in cognitive control tasks. Important regions including right IFG, right SMA, bilateral precentral gyrus, left DLPFC, and left cerebellum showed abnormal connectivity. The study also found a positive correlation between left DLPFC and right IFG.

The norepinephrine transporter gene modulates intrinsic brain activity, visual memory, and visual attention in children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder

Chi-Yung Shang et al.

Summary: This study found differences in brain activity between children with ADHD and TDC, with the TG haplotype showing significant correlation with centrality in the right precentral and postcentral gyri. Genetic factors in ADHD children were found to be associated with brain activity and visual memory and attention.

Altered Variability and Concordance of Dynamic Resting-State fMRI Indices in Patients With Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Feiling Lou et al.

Summary: The study found significant alterations in variability and concordance of dynamic brain activity in patients with ADHD, which may serve as biomarkers for the diagnosis of ADHD. ADHD patients exhibited abnormalities in dynamic amplitude and voxel-wise concordance in certain brain regions, which were associated with deficits in cognitive control.
