A systematic literature review of charity sport event sponsorship

Summary: The research findings reveal that CSE sponsorship is mainly conducted in the United States, and the existing literature primarily adopts questionnaire surveys to collect cross-sectional data and investigate the outcomes of CSE sponsorship. The managerial implications include event participation segmentation and encouraging sponsors to share motivations and involve employees in volunteering activities.

Relevant Sport Management Knowledge, Competencies, and Skills: An Umbrella Review

Summary: This umbrella review aimed to analyze the knowledge/competencies/skills in sport management, propose a competency framework, and provide insights for curricula implementation. From 22 retained review manuscripts, 72 items of knowledge/competencies/skills were extracted. Based on the evidence, a comprehensive framework for sport management was developed. The findings can foster the debate for the sustainable growth of this research area.

The findings showed scholars' interest in deepening the understanding of necessary sport management-related knowledge/competencies/skills from different research perspectives. However, there is a disconnect between industry demands and students and/or employees' preparedness and performance, highlighting the need to update education and training to foster the sustainable development of this scientific area.

A systematic review of women's entrepreneurship in the sports industry: has anything changed?

Summary: This study conducted a systematic review of the literature to analyze how female entrepreneurship in the context of sports organizations has been studied. The results showed that there are still barriers to female entrepreneurship despite previous efforts. However, physical activity and sports were found to aid in the development of skills and abilities essential for entrepreneurship. Training in higher education was also identified as a fundamental tool for stimulating female entrepreneurship.
