Controlling the Output Performance of Triboelectric Nanogenerator Through Filling Isostructural Metal-Organic Frameworks With Varying Functional Groups

Rongmei Wen et al.

Summary: In this paper, the effect of functional groups for metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) on the output performance of triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) is systematically studied. The PDMS composite TENGs with different functionalized filler MOFs exhibit higher output performance compared to pure PDMS TENG. The strategy of using functionalized filler MOFs with large electron-withdrawing functional groups is proven to improve the output performance of TENGs.
