Andrey Vladimirovich Blinov et al.

Summary: In this study, we synthesized silver nanoparticles stabilized with polyvinylpyrrolidone, with sizes ranging from 70 to 110 nm, which exhibited good crystallinity and anisotropic structure. By investigating the influence of the molar ratio of silver to peroxide on the oxidation process of the nanoparticles, we found that the changes in absorption spectra showed a linear relationship at specific molar ratios. Furthermore, our in vivo studies revealed that silver nanoparticles belong to the moderately hazardous substance category with respect to toxicity, and the use of suture materials containing silver nanoparticles did not cause allergic reactions in laboratory animals.
